Rum Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) water
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) rum or 1 tsp rum extract
Steps
- Place sugar and water into a pot over medium-high heat. Stir to dissolve sugar and cook until mixture boils.
- Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in rum (or rum extract/emulsion).
- Cool before use.
